Abstract

This article explores the factors influencing the certification processes in the textile industry, with a focus on
companies such as H&M, Inditex (Zara), and Nike. The study examines key certifications like ISO, OEKO-TEX, and
GOTS, highlighting the challenges and drivers that impact the attainment of these standards. Through a comparative
analysis of data from leading companies, the study identifies significant factors including environmental standards,
social compliance, and cost considerations. Findings suggest that while certifications are essential for ensuring product
quality and sustainability, companies face barriers related to cost and supply chain complexity. The study concludes with
recommendations for improving certification processes to enhance industry standards.
